Mentoring for new photographers

Do you need help starting your photography business? I offer mentoring sessions to new photographers to guide you through the confusing early days of going freelance. Because you are not just a photographer, you are now a business owner. And I know how daunting that is.

This isn’t about creating an instant six-figure business and it’s not about a constant hustle - I’m sure the online algorithms have already shown you masses of those courses - but I have been a full-time, self-employed photographer for 14 years so I have a ton of experience shooting and working with clients.

I photograph portraits, events, live arts, tiny weddings and animals. I work for solo business owners, authors, creatives, corporate companies, high profile charities, arts organisations and individuals. I’ve learned my craft on the job and I’ve built my business along the way.

I’m offering help and advice to steer you on your journey.

There’s no ongoing commitment, sessions are booked one at a time.

How it works

I’ll read through your mentoring application and I’ll send you my rates if I think I’m a good match for what you need. Then if you’d like to go ahead we’ll get started! 

We’ll hold one hour meetings on Zoom, we’ll chat about your business and your photography, and I’ll offer advice as appropriate. 

Scheduling and payment

Calls can be scheduled online via a private booking page. When I get your call request, I’ll invoice you and payment can be made via bank transfer. Calls are only confirmed after payment has been received.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule, please give me at least 24 hours notice. 

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss is confidential. I won’t reveal any information about you or your business to anyone else, and it works the other way too. We may have honest, personal conversations. Please do not share my information or any resources I provide with anyone else. I retain copyright of all of my content. As with all my work, everything is in line with my GDPR policy.
